In her role at OMERS Ventures, Lauren is responsible for researching and executing on investment opportunities in growth-oriented, disruptive technology companies. She also provides assistance to portfolio companies post-investment and engages in relationship building and outreach in the community.

Previously, Lauren was the Director of Investments at Epstein Enterprises Inc., a Toronto-based family office, where she was responsible for growing the angel investing portfolio. She managed the full cycle of tech investing opportunities in origination, execution, and value creation.

Before joining Epstein Enterprises, Lauren spent several years working as a litigation lawyer at a leading Toronto commercial litigation law firm, after clerking at the Ontario Court of Appeal. Lauren holds a B.A. in Government, cum laude, from Harvard University and completed the joint JD/MBA program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and the Rotman School of Management, graduating first in her class in the MBA program and as the gold medalist among the JD/MBA students.

Lauren is passionate about driving innovation and entrepreneurship to contribute to Canadian growth. She is an Associate at the Creative Destruction Lab – Toronto, a mentor with Next 36 and the Holt Accelerator, and a member of the Advisory Committee with the U of T Hatchery Launch Lab.
