Nouman is the business founder of Validere. He has held leadership, operations and advisory roles in multiple companies. Previously, he was COO of APEXA- a successful fintech startup focused on life insurance. At APEXA, he led product development through to successful launch and signed up all leading Canadian life insurance companies and broker agencies as customers. Nouman raised over $3 million in financing for APEXA and led to APEXA becoming a $5 million revenue startup. In 2014, he founded CanLeads - Canada's leading non-partisan political training organization for young professionals. CanLeads is making Canadian parliament representative of the overall population by identifying, training and supporting high potential under-40 candidates running for federal elections for any party. The organization provides shared infrastructure (technology, online fundraising, volunteer recruitment, voter lists) to candidates. In the first election cycle that CanLeads participated in 3 candidates trained through the program now sit in the Canadian parliament (average age of 29). Prior to CanLeads, Nouman advised technology companies on M&A, capital raising and strategy for over 7 years while working at TD Investment Banking in Toronto and Vancouver. Nouman earned his degree in Business from Schulich School of Business in 2007.
