Maayan Ziv

Founder, AccessNow

After struggling to access places in her wheelchair, Maayan Ziv set out to empower others with physical limitations  with AccessNow: an app that crowdsources the accessibility status of locations on a public, interactive map. Maayan recognizes that creating greater accessibility opens a business’ doors to a much larger population. But she is not just thinking about this problem on on a humanitarian level; Mayaan knows accessibility is also just good business. Maayan has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 25 Under 25 Women, is a recipient of Startup Canada National Resilient Entrepreneur of the Year Award and David C. Onley Leadership in Accessibility Award.
