Aliya Dossa

A two-time TEDx speaker and one of Canada’s youngest Top 25 Under 25 Environmentalists, Aliya is changing the way her community operates, one creative project at a time. She has spearheaded initiatives ranging from the co-founding of Youth 4 Tap, reducing 5 million plastic bottles from Canadian landfills, to meeting 101 strangers in 101 consecutive days documented in 101 blog posts. An impact-driven leader, Aliya’s strengths lie in ideation, strategy-development, perceptive foresight, and crafting compelling narratives. Aliya has worked as a policy researcher with Leadnow, a sustainability strategist with Special Olympics Canada, a research assistant at UBC’s Vancouver School of Economics, and a freelance writer with Canada Wide Media. She is currently consulting for a Vancouver-based start-up while completing her undergraduate degree in economics as a scholarship student at UBC.
