Co-founded in 2012 by Ben Docksteader, Simon Jalbert, Morgan Moe, and Anne-Marie Paquette, the idea for StrokeLink originally came from Morgan’s experience working with traumatic brain injury and stroke at The Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured (ARBI) in Calgary. Consistent with their vision during the 2012 cohort, StrokeLink empowers stroke survivors throughout their care journey by providing knowledge and self-care tools to bridge the gaps in care delivery. It provides a comprehensive toolkit of health reference material and a powerful tool for rehabilitation designed to guide and actively engage patients as they recover and regain independence. Today, the venture is still actively managed by Morgan and Anne-Marie, and is based in Calgary.
