During her undergraduate career she worked in live production and broadcasting with the Western Mustangs, and was a Staff Writer for OPENWIDE, the Faculty of Information and Media Studies’ alternative student-run publication. She also served as Vice President Events & Design of War Child Western for three years, where she was responsible for event planning, fundraising, graphic design, and community management. She is passionate about community building and the democratic potential of technology to better Canada’s socioeconomic landscape. In her spare time, you’ll probably find her dragonboating, rock climbing, or struggling with the art of community gardening.
