Bio

Renn Scott is a strategic design thinker and user experience architect with a passion for creating innovative user experiences and forward-thinking product designs. A prolific inventor with over 100 patents, she has over 15 years of experience at companies such as IBM and BlackBerry in leadership roles within User and Customer Experience, Design Research and Insights, and Innovation and Trend Forecasting. In 2001, Renn received a Master of Art in Interaction Design at the Royal College of Art, London, United Kingdom. Her wearable technology work has been included in exhibitions in Europe at the prestigious Royal College of Art and the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy, and in Canada at the Ontario Science Centre and the Design Exchange. Renn’s interest lies primarily with the Internet of Things. She loves mobile contexts and is currently focusing on the design of useful and practical wearable technology. She recently founded Daily Goods at the fashionZone, Ryerson. Daily Goods is a fashion + design company that incorporates technology into the things we wear and carry to enhance everyday experiences. Renn is also the Director of Experience at Kili Technology, a company focused on solutions for Internet payment processing and security access control.
